Welcome to ROAMS! I am Ray, a nature loving crafter from Amherst, and I enjoy making unique, handmade items. Here, you’ll find a variety of crafts and programs that I’ve put my heart and soul into. Enjoy browsing!
I started making jewelry work when I was 15 years old. After taking a break in college, I picked it back up and have been enthusiastically creating beaded jewelry ever since while also raising 4 children. My hope is that the people who choose to wear my jewelry will feel a little bit of the joy I experience when creating each piece.
Recently, I decided to work in my passion for animals into the beaded designs, and have started creating bracelets and necklaces with natural patterns from wildlife, primarily snakes. One of my dreams is to open my own wildlife rehabilitation center. Your purchase will help to make this dream a reality.
I have also started to work on public programs to education people on our local species of snakes. I have always loved them and want to try and help others know what to do when they come across one in the wild. I have an Associates and Bachelor Degree in ecology and love to bring my two snake ambassadors to have people meet and see what snakes are really all about. If you are interested in seeing a talk visit the “Where I’ll Be” tab. If you are interested in hosting an educational snake talk please send me an email!
